Time Bound: Excursions for Every Schedule
After Legalweek, or if you have some time around the conference to spare, here are some of our tips for things to do around the city.
Thirty Minutes
- Venture Into Hudson Yards: In addition to a mall with many shops and restaurants, Hudson Yards also offers several ways to enjoy New York City. Walk the High Line, an elevated park built on a former rail line, or climb the Vessel, the honeycomb-like structure you can’t miss when you’re in the area.
One Hour
- Stroll in Central Park: Take a rejuvenating walk in Central Park. The southern entrance is a 12-minute cab ride from the Javits Center, offering a quick and easy urban retreat. Don’t miss the Bethesda Terrace & Fountain in the heart of the park or the iconic Reservoir, the largest body of water in the park.
Two Hours
- Explore Neue Galerie: This museum on the Upper East Side is about a 20-minute cab ride from the Javits Center. Its collection sits in a townhouse dedicated to early 20th-century German and Austrian art and design and features standout works by Klimt and Schiele, and exquisite decorative arts.
Three Hours
- Visit the Morgan Library and Museum: This historic library and art museum began as financier J.P. Morgan’s personal library and now invites visitors to wander among rare manuscripts, exquisite bindings, and historic rooms.
